Julian Wisdom completes Eagle Scout project at the Community Church of the Pelhams

Julian Wisdom, a scout at Troop 1 Pelham, recently completed his Eagle Scout Project at the Community Church of the Pelhams. He painted five bathrooms for the church as part of the project.

The project was made possible by a generous donation from Pelham’s Wise Hardware. They donated paint, paint brushes rollers, roller pans and putty knives, among other things. “I really appreciate their help,” said Wisdom. “It is nice to have great businesses in town that are giving back to the community like Wise Hardware.”

Wisdom’s project took months of planning to get approved. Once approved, he completed it in a few weeks with the help of his volunteers.

“This project helped me learn the importance of determination, as it took many tries to get it completed,” said Wisdom. “(It also taught me) the importance of giving back to your community, as it would not have been possible without the help of Wise Hardware and my volunteers.”

The Eagle Scout project is one of the major steps in attaining Eagle Scout, Boy Scouts highest rank. The other requirements include completing 21 merit badges and all the ranks prior to Eagle. The final step is to have a board of review to go over what you have done. Wisdom hopes to complete his board of review by June.
