Fire and police officials in Pelham announced Friday night that 911 phone service for Westchester County was down until further notice.

The Village of Pelham Fire Department posted the following to their official Instagram account this evening: “Attention Pelham residents. 911 phone service is down. For all fire and medical emergencies, call 914-738-2601 until further notice.”

The Village of Pelham Police Department posted on their Facebook page: “Please be advised all emergency contact numbers are down in Westchester County. If you have an emergency, please call 911. It may be answered by state police or NYPD. We will keep you posted. Pelham PD officers will be posted stationary on Fifth Avenue/Lincoln Avenue and Wolfs Lane/Boulevard if you need to report non-emergency calls. Additional police officers will be on patrol until the problem is resolved.”

The Village of Pelham Manor police can be reached at 914-738-1000. The department sent this message to residents: “Emergency service phone lines are out countywide. If you have an emergency, dial 911 from your cell. More to follow.”
