Editor’s note: This statement was provided by the Village of Pelham Manor Board of Trustees.

The Village of Pelham Manor Board of Trustees was shocked and saddened to learn about the discovery of swastikas at Pelham Middle School.  This symbol of hatred and intolerance is offensive to all of us and is frightening for many.  Its use stands in sharp contrast to the character of our welcoming, inclusive community.  We re-affirm our commitment to tolerance and our respect for differences.  We have always and will continue to condemn hatred of any kind.
