Love back atcha—Pelham FD, PD and Empress EMS take ‘thank you’ formation for essential workers

Vehicles from the Pelham Fire Department, Pelham Police Department and Empress Emergency Services formed up Saturday in a heart to show “our combined love for everyone who keeps this community running,” the Pelham Professional Firefighters said on its Facebook page.

The pictures were taken with a drone in the Pico Electronics parking lot, and more can be seen, along with first responders who participated, on the firefighters’ Facebook page.

After the photo shoot Saturday, the vehicles paraded down 1st Avenue, where the make-a-noise movement for first responders and front liners began in Pelham. ⁣Now everyone in the Town of Pelham is encouraged to clap, bang pans and make a clamor at 7 p.m. every night.

“Thank you to all the essential workers,” said the Facebook post. “We appreciate all you are doing. The heart-shaped vehicle formation featured here symbolizes our combined love for everyone who keeps this community running. We are in this together and we will get through this using love and compassion for our fellow neighbor and worker.⁣”
