Village of Pelham police blotter: Aug. 2-16

Aug. 2
3:52 a.m. — Three sealed boxes (appeared as Amazon, Pottery Barn Kids, and Ascent Protein) containing unknown property along with a glass pipe thought to contain remnants of crack cocaine were sent to several different apartments in a complex on 5th Ave.. Suspected sender of these deliveries is believed to be a Washington Ave. resident.

11:55 a.m. — The department was advised that a party possibly involved in a drug deal had walked past a First Ave. resident. The complaining party stated that they believed the suspect to be walking to the town gazebo for a drug deal. Two officers responded to the incident location but were unable to locate the suspected party.

12:22 p.m. — A party reported to headquarters of ongoing harassment with a neighbor at a resident apartment on Walnut Ave.. The complaining party stated that the issues with her upstairs neighbor are over the shared driveway. The party further stated that the suspect party has been recording her children while they are in the yard and driveway. Additionally, the complaining party stated that on July 31 she found her cat injured in the driveway. When taken to the vet, the vet stated that it had likely been run over by a car. The cat was euthanized. Reported for documentation purposes at this time.

Aug. 3
11:00 p.m.–
Officers were dispatched to a residence on 2nd Ave. on report of ongoing harassment. The reporting party stated that she had been receiving calls from an unknown person, describing sexual obscenities between her and the stranger. Additionally the stranger refused to identify himself over the phone, and had been calling the complaining party by her nickname. The stranger stated that he was going to “come over to her house”. The stranger continued to contact her anonymously over the telephone, causing the reporting party to fear for her safety in and outside her home. The case was forwarded to the detective division.

12:20 p.m. — The county informed the department that a resident on Fifth Ave. had violated their probation by purchasing firearms. They requested that village units look into the case. Forwarded to the detective division.

3:14 p.m. — An officer responded to a residence on Harmon Ave. for a juvenile complaint. The teenager stated that he had had trouble with the suspect party in the past when he attended Pelham Memorial High School. Altercations remained verbal. The reporting party stated that he had been in contact with the suspected party over social media and profanity had been exchanged between the two of them. The conversation was started by the suspected party. The reporting party’s mother wished to document the case as she felt her son was being bullied. The officer did not make contact with the suspected party, and the youth officer was notified.

Aug. 8
3:15 p.m. — An officer responded to a location on 5th Ave. on a report of damaged property. The officer spoke with the complaining party, who stated that on July 31 between 7:00-10:00 p.m. an unknown individual damaged artwork. The work was located in the rear part of the courtyard and had been knocked over, causing paint to chip and leaving scratches. The complaining party wished to have the incident documented as the art was valued at $10,000.

8:43 p.m. — An officer was dispatched to a location on Wolf’s Lane on report of a larceny from a vehicle in the past. The officer spoke with the complaining party who advised that she had parked her vehicle on Wolf’s Lane two days prior. She stated that she did not lock her vehicle or activate its alarm. She went into her vehicle that morning to find it had been rummaged through and about $20 had been taken from her vehicle. Following up for surveillance footage.

Aug. 9
3:58 p.m. — An officer responded to a residence on Lincoln Ave. on report of harassment. The complaining party stated that she had been receiving “No Caller ID” calls from her ex-boyfriend at work. She stated that she knew it was him from his voice and for saying things such as “I love you, come back to me,” and “If you show up to court on the 22nd then I will kill you and your family.” She further stated that there was an order of protection against her that was requested by said ex-boyfriend. She wanted the incident documented in case the suspect party is trying to get her to break the order. She stated that she wanted to press charges. DIR completed. Suspect party was contacted and stated that he had not made contact with the complaining party since July. He was advised not to make contact with said party in any manner. Detective department advised.

Aug. 10
9:50 a.m. — A Cliff Ave. resident walked into police headquarters and explained that he has received a package with his address as the return address and the mailing address a location in California. The package contained MDMA pills, pinkish in color, with ‘t’ and ‘tesla’ imprinted on them. The complaining party stated that the package was not his, and he never sent it. Detectives were notified for further investigation.
