The third Pelham school heads into all-virtual learning as district officials announced that an individual from Siwanoy School tested positive for Covid-19 amid a rising infection rate in Westchester. The school announced Wednesday via email that students will begin virtual learning on Nov. 12 and be fully virtual through the Nov. 24. The district intends to re-open Siwanoy for in-person learning on Nov. 25.

All students and staff who may have been exposed to Covid-19 at school have been notified and must quarantine for 14 days. The email also reminded parents to monitor their children for signs of Covid-19.

The first school in the district to switch to fully virtual learning was Hutchinson School on Nov. 3, followed by the middle school on Nov. 6. Colonial and Prospect Hill elementary schools and the high school will continue hybrid instruction at this time.
