Pelham Manor police blotter: Nov. 1-15

Nov. 11

Officers went to 820 Pelham Parkway after BJ’s Wholesale called in. On arrival Officer Brandon Lustig reports that a man was throwing kicks and punches in the parking lot while several vehicles drove around trying to avoid the man. The man claimed to be a karate master who does not feel pain. He was believed to have a mental illness and was placed in handcuffs for his safety.

Nov. 12

The call was put in by BJ’s Wholesale, and Officer Kieran Colleran reports that an employee of the store noticed that a woman was standing at the self-checkout counter even after she had finished with her purchase. Upon the employee’s attempt to assist the woman, the woman proceeded to shove her back and throw food at the worker. The worker’s hand hurt afterwards, and the suspect was reported to have gotten in their car and driven away.

Nov. 15

A suspicious person was lurking outside of the Citgo gas station at 4780 Boston Post Road, and a unit was sent to the location. On arrival the person had departed.

Nov. 15

Officer Brandon Lustig arrived at the scene of a hit and run outside 16 Mount Tom Road, no suspect was present.

Nov. 15

At 9 am, officers were dispatched to an apartment building after receiving a call about a woman yelling for help. Although the specific apartment could not be identified, police later discovered the apartment number, and spoke to the woman through a locked door. She told them that she fell down the stairs due to difficulty walking.
