PMHS to be virtual through end of 2020 due to staffing shortage
Pelham Memorial High School will be fully virtual from Friday through the end of 2020 classes on Dec. 22. All other Pelham schools will be open on Friday for in-person instruction under the hybrid plan.
The move was announced by PMHS Principal Mark Berkowitz in an email in which he said there wouldn’t be enough staff to operate the school due to quarantines and other necessary absences. It also informed parents and students that classes will operate on the hybrid-bell schedule.
The email went on to reiterate the rules of virtual learning, as well as to remind parents to monitor their students for symptoms of Covid-19.
Despite this, meal pickup will be available for students between 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Franklin Place entrance to the high school.
