After months and years of complaints, the Village of Pelham Manor has moved to create a special email address so residents can report loud music “from other municipalities.”

“Recently, the most acute issues have been coming from the Bronx, specifically located in the 47th precinct,” said Trustee Maurice Owen-Michaane. “Pelham Manor has been coordinating with Mount Vernon government officials and police for the last several months and the issue has become very small over there.”

The new email address: [email protected].

The Pelham Manor government “will retain and compile information regarding the date, time, scope and severity of the loud music issue and will notify representatives at local, county and state levels of these reports,” according to an email from the village.

Residents should still call the Pelham Manor Police Department about noise problems, in addition to using email.

The new address “is not a method of notifying the police department of a specific noise condition requiring immediate attention,” the email said.
