A car veered off Pelhamdale Avenue near Colonial Avenue Thursday afternoon, coming to a stop in the front yard of a brick house.

Students walking home from the Pelham middle and high schools found Pelhamdale closed. Multiple police cars, an ambulance and fire engines were at the scene.

The Pelham Manor Police Department has not responded to questions about the incident.

A woman was taken away by ambulance. The car was towed.
