New Covid-19 cases in Pelham running at almost 30 per day since Wednesday
A total of 118 new cases of Covid-19 were reported for the Town of Pelham in the period from Thursday to Sunday, or an average of almost 30 per day, according to data from the Westchester County Covid-19 Dashboard.
On Wednesday, the last single day report before the holiday weekend, 29 new cases were recorded.
As of Sunday, active cases—positives within the last 14 days—totalled 372 in the town, up from 306 on Wednesday.
Active cases by village on Sunday:
- Pelham Manor: 171
- Pelham: 201
According to the New York State Covid-19 report card, the Pelham school district reported 21 positive tests on Monday, with 12 students, four teachers and five staff infected. Cases for the 14 days through Monday totalled 50. Here is the data reported by the district to the state as of Monday:
Westchester County’s rate of positive tests hit 23.3% on Sunday, for a total of 2,242 new cases.

It goes without saying that the more testing the more results, especially with this variant being so prevalent. However I’m not hearing just what every individual can do about making their lives better, not just while trying to live with COVID, but to give themselves a chance in today’s uncertain world of climate change and dangerous events.
