PMHS wins Section 1 title.

The bracket for the state final four has been released by the NYSPHSAA.

In the Division II semifinals, Section 1 champion Pelham (18-2-2) will take on Section 2 champion Queensbury (12-8-1) at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday in Buffalo.

If Pelham defeats Queensbury, they will move to the state final at 2 p.m. on Sunday. Here, they will face off against the winner of Starpoint and Webster Thomas. Starpoint is the Section 6 champion and boasts a 19-5-1 record, while Webster Thomas is the Section 5 champion and comes in with a 17-3-2 record. Those two teams play their semifinal at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.

All games will be at the LECOM Harbor Center in Buffalo. A large number of Pelham students and residents are planning to make the trip via bus, plane, car and train.

Here’s the full roster for the Pelicans. Names to watch include senior captain Ben Rosenberg (10), junior Louie Marcellino (19), senior captains Henry Smith (18) and Jordan Hurd (9), junior captain Luke Green (7) and junior goaltender Jack Mallinson (30).
