Three unlocked cars with keys inside stolen in Pelham Manor
Three unlocked cars with the keys inside were stolen in the past few days from locations in Pelham Manor.
The cars were driven to the Bronx, said the Pelham Manor Police Department in a Friday statement.
“Car thieves have the ability to determine when key fobs are left in a vehicle,” the police said. “In order to prevent auto theft, always lock your car and take the key with you whenever and wherever you park it.”

A crime as old as time. Or at least as old as cars. Anyone remember those old ads? “Don’t help a good boy go bad. Lock it, and pocket the keys.”

Simple rule in these sad modern days of more and more crime…”electronic or old school, if it has a lock then lock it.” Be it your property door, your car door, your phone or computer.
I keep hearing what a safe place the Pelhams are! They’re no safer than anywhere else these days. Crime everywhere and it’s getting worse. Individuals can’t have any complaints if they can’t look after themselves first and foremost.
Just like everywhere, there aren’t enough cops on the streets no matter how hard they try to protect us all day and night. The “baddies” will ALWAYS take advantage of easy pickings.
