A full-scale Memorial Day parade returned Monday to downtown Pelham, letting marchers from many civic groups and those watching on the sidewalks honor those who sacrificed for the United States while serving in the armed forces.

“It was yet another wonderful Pelham Memorial Day parade,” said Maggie Klein, who served as grand marshall. “I was honored to be grand marshal, chosen for my 27 years as editor and publisher of The Pelham Weekly and then The Pelham Plus website. I gave a brief speech celebrating some of those years that the newspaper reported on.”
