This year, there are important elections all over the country. But for Democrats in the Bronx and Westchester, one of the most important—the Democratic primary for New York State Senate—is happening just days from now.

I want to tell you why I’m so excited to be joining so many others in endorsing Alessandra Biaggi.

Alessandra Biaggi will bring new energy to the State Senate and add an important voice in Albany to so many battles that are important to me—from the fight to improve access to health care and the quality of our public schools, to environmental protection and affordable housing, to the urgent need to safeguard our right to choose.

Alessandra is smart, energetic, and reform-minded. I know she’ll always put the needs of New Yorkers first. And I know she will always stand with Democrats in the State Senate to advance the causes that are so important to all of us.
