The Friends of the Town of Pelham Public Library are happy to announce that Benchmark Education is the generous sponsor of this year’s Novel Night After Party. Benchmark Education sponsored the After Party in 2018 and 2021 as well. Novel Night, which will take place on September 30th, is the central fundraiser for Pelham’s library. Funds raised through Novel Night are used to support library programming for adults and children, to fund essential purchases like new furniture and computers, and to ensure patron access to electronic information and technology.

BEC is family owned and operated by Pelham residents Tom and Sera Reycraft, alongside their children Sera Hoffman and Will Reycraft. Sera Reycraft was a member of the original committee that raised funds, purchased, and renovated the current Pelham Library building that opened to the public in 1995. As longtime Pelham citizens and devoted advocates for literacy achievement, the Reycrafts are thrilled to support the important contributions that the Pelham Library brings to our community.

Sera and Tom Reycraft are longtime Pelham residents and have attended and hosted many Novel Night dinners. Sera and Tom raised their four children in Pelham, three of whom now live in Pelham, including Benchmark Executive Vice Presidents Sera Hoffman and Will Reycraft, who are Novel Night enthusiasts. Sera Hoffman says, “The Pelham Public Library is a special institution within our community. We are delighted to support the dynamic programs and services it offers to Pelham citizens, and to celebrate those contributions at this year’s Novel Night!”
