Pelham Art Center is excited to expand our partnership with Project CHILDD through Project Community by offering the Smarty Arts Program!
Smarty Arts is a creative enrichment program designed to support children with special needs through hands-on art experiences and movement activities. The program will also incorporate local teen mentors who are passionate about providing encouragement, connection, and support to younger participants through meaningful peer engagement.
Created as a supplement to the Summer Stars school program, Smarty Arts will provide students with opportunities to build confidence, explore creativity, and develop social connections in an inclusive and supportive environment.
“Supporting individuals with special needs through meaningful art experiences is an honor for Pelham Art Center. Our partnership with Project Community allows us to expand access to creative programming that supports a broad spectrum of abilities and therapeutic needs. We are grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with Anne Frost and her team, and we look forward to continuing to learn, grow, and provide more inclusive arts experiences for our community,” offered Nancy Mazzei, Interim Executive Director, Pelham Art Center.
The program will take place on Fridays from 9:30–11:30 AM, running from July 10 through August 21. Students in Summer Stars grades 3–6 are encouraged to participate. We look forward to creating an inspiring summer experience where every child can learn, create, and shine!
The cost will be $140 for all the Friday sessions. Families can register at the following link: https://lp.constantcontactpages.com/ev/reg/9yqdn7v
