Pelham Picture House to screen Oscar-nominated short films starting Friday

January 2024 – Bronxville and Pelham, NYThe Picture House Regional Film Center continues its highly anticipated tradition of screening the Oscar nominated short films — this year at The Picture House Pelham with the opening on Friday, February 16th. The screenings are a wonderful opportunity for film lovers to watch the short films that have received cinema’s highest honor on the big screen before the Academy Awards ceremony on Sunday, March 10. The popular program includes animated, live action and documentary shorts.  While unrated, please note that the short film programs, including animation, should be treated as an R-rated presentation for adult themes, violence, and language.

“We are thrilled to continue our tradition of showcasing the very best in animation, live action and documentary shorts,” said Clayton Bushong, Executive Director, The Picture House Regional Film Center. “From poignant narratives to breathtaking visuals, this year’s line-up covesr a wide range of themes, showcasing the boundless creativity of filmmakers worldwide.”
