Pelham CNC extends deadline to April 2 for those seeking to apply for interview process for school board candidates

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

The Pelham Citizens Nominating Committee (CNC) has extended the deadline for submitting applications to participate in the CNC process to 8pm on Tuesday, April 2nd. If you are interested in running for the BOE, or know someone who might be, please visit pelhamcnc.com for more information and to fill out an application form. This year, two seats are up for election.

The Pelham Citizens Nominating Committee (CNC) is a nonpartisan organization, the purpose of which is to recruit, interview and nominate highly qualified candidates for the Board of Education. A Pelham CNC nomination is not an endorsement. It is an assessment that the candidate possesses the qualifications set forth by New York State along with the qualifications specific to Pelham as set forth by the CNC.

The CNC is a resource to candidates and to the community, providing due process appropriate to this level of public service and answering any questions candidates may have as they consider their decision to run for the Board. Participating in the CNC process can help candidates evaluate their decision to run, and all conversations will be confidential.

The BOE candidate application for CNC nomination is available at pelhamcnc.com. The deadline to submit applications is 8pm on Tuesday, April 2nd. All BOE candidate interviews will be held between April 3 and April 21. The deadline for candidates to file nominating petitions with the District Clerk is April 22. The Budget Vote and BOE Election is May 21.

Questions can be directed to our inbox, [email protected]. Thank you for your support as we continue the search for two qualified Board of Education candidates.

Sincerely,

Angelo Rubbo & Marcos Rollan

CNC Co-Chairs 2024
