School board to hold work session on strategic plan Wednesday at 3:30 p.m., followed by budget review

The Board of Education will meet at 3:30pm on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 in the Pelham Middle School Library, 28 Franklin Place, Pelham, NY 10803 for a work session related to Strategic Planning. At approximately 6:30pm, it is anticipated that the Board will consider a motion to enter executive session to discuss the employment history of a particular person(s). The Board is expected to reconvene in public in the Pelham Middle School Library at approximately 7:30pm for its regular business meeting, which can be viewed on YouTube live.

Members of the public may attend both the strategic planning work session and regular business meeting in-person.

At the strategic planning work session, the Board will be joined by its consultants at Hazard, Young, Attea to start the review of data gleaned from the strategic planning survey and focus groups.

During the regular business meeting, the Board will continue its line-by-line review of the 2024-25 budget focusing on the following sections:

  • Pupil Personnel & Counseling
  • Athletics
  • Staffing

The full meeting agenda will be available approximately 24 hours before the meeting on BoardDocs. To access the agenda once it has been posted, visit www.pelhamschools.org and click “Meetings and Coffees” under the “Board of Education” tab. Then click the button for “Agendas and Minutes” and click the link for the “March 20, 2024” meeting.
