They say “Creativity is intelligence having fun!” Well, we strongly suggest you clear your calendar and get ready for Rotary Club of the Pelhams “innovative and fun” Tastings XV fundraiser on October 20th at the Pelham Country Club from 4 to 7pm.

According to Tastings XV Chair Betty Bucher, “Each year we try to be as innovative as possible to make it a memorable and special event for our attendees and supportive patrons. This year, in addition to our “gastronomical” presentation of a wide variety of outstanding cuisine and full-glass wines, we have plenty more in store to celebrate our Rotary’s charitable mission, and also to acknowledge this year’s Honoree – longtime Pelham resident and humanitarian – Peter DiPaola.”

Rotary President Marty Ketels continued, ”Since we have such a strong commitment to our kids and students, this year’s music will be provided by the Backwater Groove band, composed of very talented PMHS students who will be volunteering their time to our event. Plus, as a special addition to our bountiful smorgasbord of foods from our local restaurants, we will have nationally-acclaimed baker, New Rochelle Middle School student Nyah Rosado. This talented culinarian will be providing the guests with her delicious creativities that have resulted in her appearing on Food Network’s ‘Kids Baking Championship’. And there are plenty of surprises, as well.”

Blue Dog Wine & Spirits will be the major sponsor of the event, as attendees will not only enjoy the full-pour wines, but also get a chance to enjoy “tasting” a variety of exciting, new wines. (There’s also an opportunity to purchase cases of these special wines at a 10% discount, with proceeds going directly to the Rotary!) The afternoon will also include a silent auction complete with fabulous gifts and items that can be bid upon at tremendous discount savings.

There are multiple ways to contribute: attend the event on October 20h; buy a sponsorship; purchase a Journal Ad; or simply donate!
