School board to focus on budgets for special ed, interscholastic athletics during March 26 meeting

The Board of Education will meet at 8:15 pm on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 in the Pelham Middle School Library, 28 Franklin Place, Pelham, NY 10803. Prior to the public meeting, the Board is expected to meet in executive session at 7 pm in the Superintendent’s Conference Room in Central Office, 18 Franklin Place, Pelham, NY 10803.

At the meeting, the Board is expected to continue its review of the 2019-20 preliminary budget, focusing on Special Education and Interscholastic Athletics.

In addition to Dr. Champ’s Superintendent’s report, the agenda may include updates from each School Board committee, as well as reports on 21st Century Learning and Professional Development, Networks of Support and Social-Emotional Development, and Finances and Facilities.

The Board may also review and/or approve the following policies: 7521 – Students with Life-Threatening Health Conditions (3rd reading), 7132 – Non-Resident Students (1st reading), 5410 – Purchasing: Competitive Bidding and Offering (1st reading), 5411 – Contracting for Professional Services (1st reading).
