Though PMHS alumnus Gibson Smith’s junior year with Georgetown Men’s Lacrosse was put to a sudden halt, he was able to accomplish a great deal.

On February 13th, PMHS alumni and current Georgetown Men’s Lacrosse player, Gibson Smith, was named to the Tewaaraton Award watch list.  The Tewaaraton is an annual award given to the highest performing men and women college lacrosse players. He was only one of 50 NCAA Division I lacrosse players to be placed on the watchlist.  Though the award itself will not be presented this year, all returning players have much to look forward to in the coming year.

In addition to his Tewaaraton nomination, Smith was named an Inside Lacrosse Media 1st Team All-American, 2020 Big East Preseason Second Team All- American, and 2020 Big East Preseason Defensive Player of the Year.

The Hoya’s season was cancelled along with all Division I athletics on March 12.  Despite this, Georgetown finished the season with an impressive record of 6 wins and 0 losses.
