Dear neighbors,

On behalf of the Pelham Board of Education, I want to sincerely thank the voters for supporting the 2021-2022 school budget.  This budget supports the Steps A DBT program, Responsive Classroom and our Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), which bolster our strategic commitment to The Whole Child and are especially important as we emerge from the pandemic. This budget also provides for additional world language and science teachers to help meet growing demands, and flexible furnishings to bolster Authentic Learning experiences. Finally, the budget expands our summer program for students who need additional academic support and maintains the technology-based learning resources and devices that have become so crucial to our success.  As we look forward to next school year, we feel extremely fortunate to have your support as we seek to continue offering rich and robust opportunities for our students and help us all return to a further sense of normalcy in the year ahead.

I want to congratulate Ian Rowe and Michael Owen-Michaane for winning 3-year terms to the Board of Education.  We will look forward to working together beginning this summer when our new board members will begin their term.  I have great respect and gratitude for Eileen Miller and Jessica Young and their tireless dedication to the Board over the past three years.  I also want to thank all five candidates for running in this year’s election and showing such an interest in our schools.

We look forward to working together as a community to furthering our mission of Inspiring a Standard of Excellence of All Students.

With Gratitude,

Jessica DeDomenico

Board of Education President
