Upcoming arts events (some outdoors) in Westchester: Ceramic Works by Artists of Color, show on Bedford Playhouse lawn

NOW THROUGH JUNE 30: Ceramic Works by Artists of Color
State of Emergence is an in-person and virtual exhibition of ceramic works by 15 emerging artists of color, curated by the Color Network and Clay Art Center. The exhibiting artists speak to the current state of the world as they navigate through obstacles in the field, such as fewer opportunities, resources and lack of physical community. The artists also explore tensions of race and racism, ethnicity and sexism. This exhibition is available to view in-person by appointment, and online on the CAC’s website.
SAT, MAY 22: Drive In Dance Film
This Saturday, Steffi Nossen Dance Company will host a drive-in movie screening of five immersive dance films, which were filmed at various Greenburgh Nature Center locales. The site-specific dances, choreographed by Jessica DiMauro and Annie Doss, will reflect the mood of each location. Begins at 8pm.
SAT, MAY 22 THROUGH FRI, MAY 28: Calidore String Quartet Online Concert
Friends Of Music Concerts continues its livestream concert series with a concert by the Calidore String Quartet, which will be available on its website for free.The program will feature Antonín Dvořák’s composition Quintet in G major for Two Violins, Viola, Cello and Bass and Felix Mendelssohn’s Quartet in F minor for Strings.
SAT, MAY 22: Dancing Caravan at Wainwright House
This Saturday, Ballet des Amériques will present a “Dancing Caravan,” featuring two outdoor ballet performances in front of the Wainwright House in Rye. The company will perform ballet works, including Peter and The Wolf and Dance Mosaic. Begins at 2:30 and 4:30pm at Wainwright House. Read more about this program in the May issue of ArtsNews.
