Pelham Manor Provides Composting for Siwanoy Outdoor Classroom

Earlier this week, the Village of Pelham Manor, in partnership with the Siwanoy PTA, provided a large amount of composting material from our Spring Road Facility to the PTA for use at the Outdoor Classroom in advance of Global Outdoor Classroom Day. The composting was used to beautify the grounds and plantings at the Outdoor Classroom.

Monthly Resident Coffee & Chat with Pelham Manor Trustees

The Village of Pelham Manor Board of Trustee’s is happy to announce a new resident outreach program. The Board will be hosting monthly coffees with residents, to provide a more informal opportunity for residents to speak and connect with the Trustees, especially for those residents unable to attend our bi-monthly meetings on Monday’s. The inaugural Pelham Manor Trustee’s Coffee will be held on Saturday, June 5th, 2021 at 9am at Veterans Park (across the street from Huguenot Memorial Church) in Pelham Manor, on the benches if weather permits (rain location will be Lenny’s Bagels). Memorial Day 2021 Activities in Pelham

To honor Memorial Day, in lieu of the traditional Parade, the Pelham American Legion Post 100 will be hosting a modified event. There will be a motorcade leaving from the Manor Club about 11:30 on Memorial Day and following the normal parade route. It will follow all traffic laws and regulations and proceed to the Town Gazebo where they will then March to Veterans Park (across from DeCicco’s Market). Ceremonies will start at approximately noon. The public is welcomed to attend.

New Village of Pelham Manor Website Coming Soon

The Village of Pelham Manor has been hard at work on a total revamp of its Village website, which will provide residents with ease of access to information as well as a dynamic interface that is easy to use. The new website will provide a one-stop shop for communications and information to Village residents. Stay tuned for more information and the official rollout in the near future.

Pelham Public Schools Program Survey

As the Pelham Public Schools prepare for next school year, they are assessing interest regarding potential before and after school childcare programs at each elementary school. These fee-based offerings would be provided in cooperation with the Town Recreation Department depending upon the level of interest and would be in addition to the various offerings that are already available.

They request those interested to please complete this Google Form by Friday, June 4 so that they may assess the level of interest in options for the fall.


Gasoline-Powered Leaf Blower Ordinance

The use of gasoline-powered leaf blowers is prohibited in the Village of Pelham Manor from May 1 through October 14 of each year. Exceptions exist only for utility companies, municipal or school district emergency operations, or to remove storm debris following storms. Upcoming Board of Trustee’s Meeting May 24th

The Board will meet for its regularly scheduled bi-monthly meeting on Monday, May 24th, at 8:15pm. The agenda for the meeting can be found by clicking here or below.

Among the many topics to be discussed at tonight’s Board meeting will the Public Hearing on the Annual Stormwater Management Report and the monthly in-person Fire Chief’s & Village Treasurer’s Reports.

In accordance with Governor’s State of Emergency Order and its subsequent guidance, people who are fully vaccinated do not need to wear a mask or social distance, BUT may choose to do so. People who are unvaccinated will need to wear a mask and observe the protocols with regards to social distancing.

The meeting will be live on FiOS channel 46 and Altice/Cablevision channel 75.  The meeting will also be broadcast live, on the Village of Pelham Manor Facebook page – click here AND the Pelham Manor Viemo page – click here.

A link to the meeting video recording will also be available the following morning on the Village website (click here).
