Editor’s note: This press release was provided by the Village of Pelham Manor.

The Village of Pelham Manor is delighted to announce that our in-house DPW crew recently installed two tables with built-in seating at Veterans’ Park, behind the historic police booth at Four Corners. The furniture was produced by the same manufacturer who fabricated the benches at bus stops on Pelhamdale Avenue and Boston Post Road and Weihman Park.

This installation is part of the Village’s ongoing enhancement efforts at Four Corners. It follows our decision to address the needs of residents and local businesses during the pandemic by allowing seating outside the shops at Four Corners.

Pelham Manor is grateful to the Pelham Chamber of Commerce and President Cristina Chianese who helped make the purchase of this outdoor furniture possible through a generous $1,000 donation.

The Village remains thankful to the Pelham Preservation and Garden Society, Eagle Scout Matthew Spana and contractor Tullio Migliarini for their tireless efforts to help revitalize the park several years ago. That donated work included weeding and replacing old flower beds, removing a deteriorated wood planter, replacing benches, and improving the police booth and surrounding driveway.

Please enjoy some time sitting with family and friends at our verdant and conveniently located Veterans’ Park!
