The Friends of the Town of Pelham Public Library are happy to announce that this year’s Novel Night After Party D.J. is generously sponsored by Compass Real Estate, acting as benefactors for this year’s event. Novel Night, which will take place on October 2nd, is the central fundraiser for Pelham’s public library.

C.S. McClellan Real Estate, doing business as Compass Real Estate, is Pelham’s largest real estate agency, founded in Pelham in 1878. They have maintained an office on Wolfs Lane in Pelham and been part of the business community throughout the firm’s history. The family-owned firm and many of their agents have a long history of supporting civic organizations in Pelham, including a 25-year-old commitment to the Pelham Public Library, through sustained and generous support of Novel Night. The owner of the firm, Sona Davidian, served on the Friends of the Town of Pelham Public Library board and hosted a dinner during the inaugural Novel Night year. During her time as a board member, Sona was in charge of collecting RSVPs and assigning dinner parties for three Novel Night celebrations.  Many agents of the firm have also given dinners, served on committees and attended Novel Night events.

On living in Pelham and attending Novel Night celebrations, Sona said: “Pelham’s greatest asset and greatest strength are the people who live here and the organizations and institutions that those people support and nurture.  It is a very caring and compassionate community of diverse individuals who are always ready to help out a friend, a neighbor or a person in need.  An event like Novel Night brings individuals together for a fun night to celebrate all of the work that goes on all year across many different platforms to make Pelham the very special community that it is. We live here, we work here and we love Pelham.  It is our community and we are proud of our long history of giving back to our Town.”
