PMHS senior Eric Soderberg qualified for the New York Stage golf champions.

PMHS senior Eric Soderberg advanced Wednesday to the New York State golf champions after tying for fifth in the Section 1 tournament.

Soderberg has enjoyed a successful season and showed consistent play at Waccabuc Country Club this week. He put up a day one score of 80 and followed it up with a 77 on day two. The total score of 157 was enough to push team captain Soderberg to states at Mark Twain Golf Course in Elmira on June 5 and 6.

Eighth grader Eamon Brennan also competed at the sectional tournament. He qualified for day two, but couldn’t make the cut for states in his first postseason appearance.
