Kate Douglass has once again broken the 200 breast American and US Open records with a time of 2:01.43. Douglass has broken this record three times in the last year and holds four of the seven fastest times in the 200 breast. She is expected to cause some damage at the 2023 NCAAs and ACCs.

Douglass, a 2019 Pelham Memorial High School graduate, is a senior at the University of Virginia. She was named Women’s Swimmer of the Year by the College Swimming and Diving Association of America (CSCAA) in April after breaking American records in the 50 freestyle, 100 butterfly and 200 breaststroke at the NCAA Women’s Championships. She won bronze in the Tokyo Olympics in the 200 individual medley.
