To the Pelham Art Center Community,

It is with heavy heart and deep sadness that we share the passing of our Executive Director, Charlotte Mouquin Voznesenskaya. Charlotte leaves behind a legacy of artistic dedication and an unwavering commitment to the arts community.

Charlotte’s profound impact on Pelham Art Center cannot be overstated. Her leadership, passion for the arts and artists, and tireless efforts to build community through art have shaped our organization into what it is today—a vibrant hub of creativity and artistic expression. Under her guidance, the PAC survived and thrived during a pandemic, expanded its impact into our neighboring communities, and touched the lives of countless individuals.

Charlotte was also a visionary artist, a kind and generous spirit, a colleague, friend, mentor, mother, partner, and daughter. We join her family in their grief.

The staff, board members, and teacher-artists of the Pelham Art Center are committed to ensuring that it remains a place of inspiration, growth, and creativity. We appreciate the support of the community as we mourn and console each other, most especially the youth volunteers, interns, and students to whom Charlotte was so dedicated.

In the coming weeks, we plan to organize memorial events and statements to honor Charlotte’s life and contributions. We will share details on our website and our Facebook page as these become available.

We appreciate your continued support during this difficult time and look forward to keeping Charlotte’s spirit alive. Some have inquired about making a donation – at her family’s request, donations should be directed to the Pelham Art Center’s capital campaign, a cause close to Charlotte’s heart.

—The Staff and Board of Directors of the Pelham Art Center
