May 2025 – Bronxville, NY – The Picture House Regional Film Center (TPH) is thrilled to announce the launch of its 2025 Summer Camps, offering a dynamic lineup of hands-on filmmaking experiences for young creatives. Camps will be held at the TPH Studio in Bronxville and are designed to engage students from kindergarten through high school in an immersive, inspiring environment.

Summer 2025 Camp Line-Up:
One-Day Camp: Green Screen and Practical Effects
June 19 | 9:00am–2:00pm | Grades K–5
In this fun one-day session, campers will blast off into space or grow 200 feet tall—no radioactive waste required! Kids will explore the magic of movie-making with model building, SFX makeup, puppetry, green screen technology, and more to bring their own sci-fi or fantasy stories to life.
Documentary Production Intensive for High Schoolers
July 21–25 | 11:00am–4:00pm
High school students will dive deep into the art of documentary filmmaking, working together to create a film that highlights a Westchester-area nonprofit organization. Campers will learn research, storyboarding, camera operation, interview techniques, point of view, and style, filming both in class and on location. Each student will receive a digital copy of their project for their portfolio and may also qualify for service credit hours.
Green Screen and Practical Effects for Middle Schoolers
August 4–8 | 9:00am–2:00pm
Middle schoolers will discover the magic of practical special effects! This camp explores model making, SFX makeup, sound design, stop-motion animation, and puppetry. Students will use arts and crafts skills alongside green screen technology to create their own sci-fi epics and thrilling adventures.

In these fun-filled sessions, young campers will adapt their favorite age-appropriate books into blockbuster films. Campers will take on all the key roles—acting, writing, directing, and shooting—culminating in a screening of their original creations.
Pricing:
$400 for TPH members / $500 for non-members per week-long session.
