My name is Maureen Borsella, and as many of you know, I am running for Pelham Town Clerk.
Pelham has been my home since 1962. It’s where I walked to Hutchinson Elementary School and St. Catharine’s. It’s also where I graduated from Pelham Memorial High School and fell in love with my childhood sweetheart, Anthony Borsella, a proud K-9 Sergeant who served the Village of Pelham Police Department for 37 years. It’s where we raised our three children, built lifelong friendships, and continued to give back to the community that has shaped who we are. Pelham is a community like no other.
Service is at the heart of our family’s story. Our son, Anthony, now serves as a firefighter for the Village of Pelham. Our daughter, Kristen, is a small animal veterinary surgeon and a Major in the United States Army. We lost our youngest daughter, Julianne, to cancer in 2000. During that time, this community wrapped its arms around us in extraordinary ways. Julianne’s spirit inspires me to lead each day with compassion and purpose.
Throughout the years, I have remained an active volunteer. I served as a member of the Hutchinson School PTA, on their Site-Based Council, and chaired the Hutchinson playground renovation committee in the early 1990s, raising over $100,000 to reimagine a new play space for our children. I coached Pelham Little League and continue my work with The Danny Fund, now proudly serving as co-President.
I’m running for Town Clerk because I care deeply about our town and how our residents are served. I bring decades of commitment to Pelham, strong organizational skills, and the energy and heart needed for this role. The Town Clerk’s position is not just administrative. It is relational. It’s about being a trusted, familiar face who helps neighbors navigate everything from licenses to records with kindness, clarity, and efficiency.
I would be honored to continue serving the community I love in a new way, as your next Pelham Town Clerk, working to keep our town as special as it has always been.
Sincerely,
Maureen Borsella
