Holiday gift guide: Pelham’s shops offer their top picks
The holiday season is upon us, and after more than a year of Covid hurting many local Pelham businesses, they have put in stock wonderful gifts for the holidays. The Pelham Examiner surveyed downtown stores, and they recommended these as top seasonal gift ideas.
1. Pelham map mug and glass: Richard’s Passport
The mug is the perfect size for hot chocolate on wintery December mornings. Michelle Pactor, an employee at the store, said, “This is a great gift for anyone who lives in Pelham or used to live in Pelham. You can see the street where your house is, or remember where you used to live when you use it.”
2. Diamond by the yard: LaGravinese Jewelers
A great gift option for all ages that suits most styles. Featured in all metal colors, the store has a large assortment of the necklaces. They are available in sterling silver at approximately $100. The shop has a welcoming feel, and the family that runs it is always ready to greet customers with a smile.
3. Personalized children’s chair: Sue’s Corner
This customizable chair is a beautiful and unique gift for a child, and is available alongside various other customizable gifts (the jewelry box is a personal favorite). Owner Susan Sepulveda is something of an expert on Pelham gifts. “We have been creating hand-painted personalized gifts in Pelham for over 50 years,” she said. “Check out our new holiday gifts and accessories!”
4. Diffuser and essential oils set: Silver Essentials
The perfect gift for anyone wanting a more environmentally friendly fragrance in their home. The diffuser comes with 12 different essential oils, all of which are plant based and toxin-free.
