Bangkok City Thai Kitchen’s boba tea combinations are a must try

Kate’s three favorite boba combinations.

Bangkok City Thai Kitchen has been a go-to restaurant for my friends and me after a long school day or on a carefree weekend. We have tried almost all kinds of boba they have to offer. They have various choices of ice milk teas-including taro, mango, strawberry, Thai ice tea, Thai iced coffee, matcha green tea, caramel, and classic milk tea-and fruit juice options too: mango, passionfruit, lychee, pomegranate, lemonade, mixed berry, coconut, and pineapple juice. Their choices of bubbles are tapioca pearls, strawberry popping, mango popping, and lychee popping.

The first boba combination I tried in Bangkok was lemonade with tapioca, which tasted satisfactory with its icy lemon flavor combined with warm tapioca pearls, however, the more I went to Bangkok I tried different recommendations my friends gave me and I realized that there were more fruitful flavors as well. Mango juice with strawberry popping quickly became my frequent order, the sweet mango juice with an occasional pop of strawberry together made the best treat.

Another refreshing boba that is new to Bangkok’s menu is the strawberry milk tea, I add tapioca pearls to this, but it would taste just as good with popping as well; I enjoy its fruitful flavor together with the fluffy consistency. But nothing can beat their taro milk tea with tapioca pearls, its floral, earthy, and creamy taste paired with warm tapioca pearls just makes a perfect delight.

Although I like almost all combinations Bangkok has to offer my favorite ones that are a must-try are:

  • Mango juice with strawberry popping
  • Taro milk tea with tapioca pearls
  • Strawberry milk tea with tapioca pearls
