PMHS football loses Colonial Cup against Eastchester; team goes 0-2 into week 3 of season

PMHS football suffered an embarrassing loss to Eastchester, 36-7, in Friday’s matchup for the annual Colonial Cup. The Pelicans are now 0-2 to start the season, after losing to Brewster 14-0 earlier this week. The team will face another tough opponent away from home at Horace Greeley next Friday at 6:30.

Senior Isaiah Graves scored Pelham’s only touchdown in the fourth quarter

“Not much to do but move on and improve,” said senior captain Nicholas Massaregli. “We embarrassed ourselves on the field, and we all know we’re better than that.”

Pelham won the previous two Colonial Cups, meaning Friday’s defeat was their first Colonial Cup loss against Eastchester since 2019.
